BATTLEFIELD MOBILE DESTRUCTION
EDINBURGH
Pristine models and destroyed states for Edinburgh Tenement buildings. Created
PBR materials, textures, technical blueprints and full architectural destruction.

My particular contributions for this map include Edinburgh Tenement building creation, fracturing of models and export into Unreal Engine 4. Assets are of high visual quality while remaining performant on earlier generation mobile devices.
The process of architectural building fracture involves creation of pristine and fractured 3D models/bricks (including interior modeling weld pass for clean breaks using the fracture tool), textures, materials, UV, vertex color assignment, collision, occlusion, architectural destruction blueprint setup in Maya and Unreal, edge model assignment and creation, edge model vertex blending, edge model cleanup, fractured brick linking (to prevent floating chunks) and testing final destruction in Unreal.

scene population and optimization, proxy work, LODs and general bug issues.

Modular destruction process
Above is an example illustration of one modular Tenement building amongst many that I was
responsible for in Battlefield mobile. You will find the asset sitting between other Tenement buildings
I did for the map. This included pristine model states (PBR materials, texture, UV, vertex color) and
all aspects of destruction (bricks, edge models, blueprints, etc.) which can be viewed
in the videos above.
